On MONDAY 8 OCTOBER, 6.30pm at St Lukes Church Hall, Sydney Street, Chelsea, James Stourton will be speaking to the CHELSEA SOCIETY members and non-members about British Embassies – their diplomatic and architectural history in the wake of his very handsome book on that subject launched last year.
James is the former Chairman of Sotheby’s UK and a resident of Pimlico. He is on the Heritage Memorial Fund panel and has written the biography of Kenneth Clark and ‘The British as Art Collectors’ among others books.
